What is the Political Courage Test?

Washington Congressional Election 2018 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I agree with the voices calling for an abortion ban and we should be working on achieving this noble goal. We have all knowhow, technical ability, and infrastructure to achieve this goal in the near future. However, due to the current political situation, it would be very difficult to ban abortions altogether and some exceptions should be provided under some circumstances, like a rape, incest, and when the mother?s life is in danger. Yet, we should still impose ban on late term abortions, implement parental notification, and a wait period. We need to protect the voiceless innocent human beings.
Yes In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
The term limits and the balanced budget amendment. Our government has expanded in size &power with the new regulations, mandates, executive orders, overreaching &intrusion. We have been running huge budget deficits &misappropriating money through corporate welfare, corruption, bailouts, stimulus packages, crony initiatives. The continuation of wars over the past 16 years has added at least $7 trillion to our expenditures. The banks and Wall Street have increased their influence and dominance over our country?s affairs. While they have raked in huge profits and received bonuses, the incomes of the working people have been stagnant and home ownership rates have fallen.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
The tax current system has created an inequality, instigated corporate welfare and crony capitalisms. Some corporations have been able to avoid paying corporate income taxes altogether. The average effective corporate tax rate for the American corporations has fallen to just above 12%. In this situation, I would propose implementing the Corporate Alternative Minimum Tax, let's say at 10% level; the alternative minimum tax similar to the tax currently in effect for the individual taxpayers. Such a tax would allow corporations to conduct their business more freely, be more productive without a need to relegate themselves to tax dodging and manipulations.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
We need to preserve choice in education and offer alternative means to educate our young generation, including charter schools and other experimental methods and systems, like Democratic (Waldorf) Schools, for example.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
We need to repeal ObamaCare and replace it with a free-market-driven healthcare system, while preserving good features of ObamaCare, like keeping young people on their parents' policies (which was my original idea, to start with) and doing away with pre-existing conditions and guaranteeing coverage for the people suffering from them. I would also add a cancer-cure amendment to it. ObamaCare was a bad law and in essence it worsened medial coverage for 85-90% of the country while trying to insure the remaining 10-15% of us. We can do better than that.
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
1. Secure the border by finishing the border fence, implementing other means and security measures, and by hiring more border patrol agents. 2. Mandate using E-Verify for all new hires. 3. Send "No-Match" letters to all 140,000 employers which have a documented history of employing people using fraudulent SSN's. 4. Come up with a new interpretation of the 14th Amendment dealing with so called "Anchor Baby" problem by issuing a new constitutional amendment or requesting an opinion from the US Supreme Court. 5. Come up with a merit-based immigration system and cut the admission levels by half.
Yes Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
I am a supporter of the Tenth Amendment and the states' rights to implement their own policies regarding non-security or national-interest issues. Thus, I am pretty much open to marijuana/Hemp CBD legalization and issues related to it. It should be left up to the individual states to decide on it. However, the abuse of hard drugs and prescription opioids has resulted in crisis. It is a public-health care issue, like tuberculosis, and it needs to be addressed this way. I am for decriminalizing drug-related offenses but I would go hard on the people and institutions profiting from this epidemic.
No Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
No Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
We need to end the wars for oil and bananas and start taking care of this country first before we help others. The wars have cost us over $7 billion and thousands of lost lives. We cannot be the policeman of the World forever. The whole country lives in anxiety over the World's affairs which have a very little to do with our daily lives. Obama and Hillary had destroyed and disrupted Northern Africa and Middle East and the World pays consequences for their actions right now while they continue living in opulence. No More. Enough is Enough.
The four most important things that I would like to accomplish in the office are: - Balancing the budgets - Implementing the term limits - Reforming our immigration system into a merit-based one and securing the borders - Ending the wars for oil and bananas I would like to work with both sides of the political aisle in WDC to end gridlock there to the benefit of this country. The current system is only benefiting our enemies and weakens the country. I am not representing any special interests and I couldn't care less about any of their petty projects.
